Configuring WiFi and Bluetooth

WiFi is on by default - configure it in the upper right corner of the screen using the symbol that looks like a wireless strength meter, or up/down pair of arrows, or RJ45 Ethernet jack. This works like most other WiFi computers and will show you a list of the SSIDs it sees. Select the one you want, then enter its password.

Bluetooth:

The Quadra doesn't have Bluetooth built in, but you can easily add it using a Bluetooth dongle. We have tested this Bluetooth / WiFi adapter available on Amazon for about $18. It will also give you much faster WiFi.

Pairing and connecting devices:

First turn on the device you want to pair and put it into pairing mode. For example, most Bluetooth speakers and keyboards will have a button you need to press to put it into pairing mode. Often this will start a small light blinking.

You configure Bluetooth using the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner of the screen (looks sort of like a "B"). This will show a menu. Select Devices. In the dialog that appears, click the Search button.

After a few moments, you will see a list of all the devices nearby. Select the one you want to connect to:

Then, click the "key" button to pair. Then click the "star" button to remember it. If you don't see the color bars on the right, right-click and select "connect". When everything is working, it should look like this:

Then, use the speaker icon in the bottom panel (dock) on your screen to configure volume or change the source.

Note: Bluetooth options will be shown by name. To play through your monitor, if there is more than one item that says "built-in Audio Stereo", select different ones until you hear sound. Often, it is the second one listed.
